Hutch
Well, after searching my computer I realized I don't have a "before" photo of this ragamuffin of a piece! Well, it was in poor condition upon close inspection. I stripped, sanded, primed, painted, sealed and replaced all of the hardware on this sucker until it was like new! It was white with a greyish blue backing, but then I decided it needed a little bit more character and depth so I glazed and rubbed the edges a bit before sealing this little hutch.
It won't be staying in our house though - this baby is for sale! I won't be re-doing anymore furniture to sell for a while, but I will hopefully be doing our master bedroom dressers.
(If you want to see more detail of the hutch try clicking on the photo to get a closer look)
Per request of my sister the dimensions are 73.25 (just over 6 feet) inches tall, 18 inches deep, 42.25 inches wide.

Another black dresser
| BEFORE |
This was an ordinary wooden dresser that had good bones and nice deep drawers that I couldn't pass up at a yard sale this summer. The only hard part was that we don't have a truck - so on top of the wagon it went! The drawers and mirror were carefully inside and strapped around our children so they wouldn't be mushed if things moved around.
This sucker was a labor of love - let me tell you. It may be simple and chic now, but it was my guinea pig of redoing dressers before it got to this completed state. It should have been done months ago - but that's okay I am still learning.
And guess what...IT'S FOR SALE!

Calder's dresser
So I was a little worried when Calder's request for colors of his bedroom furniture be red & black, but he was the client so I did it anyways. Luckily it turned out great! The stripes are actually grooves in the drawers that were already there and I had to add the pulls and knobs (which reminds me I need to get Jeff a better/more powerful cordless drill for his birthday).

Table for 8-10?
Ta da! This is one of the new projects I have been working on and I'm going to post it on Craigslist to sell it! This table will pay for one of Phaelen's medical bills and my recent hair cut - so fun I know.

Turqois bliss
I do apologize for forgetting to post "before" pictures but I have remembered with my most recent pieces. Plus, I found a consignment/used furniture showroom in town that is interested in "hiring" me to re-do some pieces because they always have people come in and ask for "antiqued/distressed/repainted" pieces. I could get used to this, but I still have to remember to take it one piece at a time - start to finish. My next big project is Calder's bed frame, bookshelf and dresser. The requested colors - black and red. What?
